      TanStack AI 1.0.0. This release removes every API that was deprecated in 0.x. Read the upgrade guide before you upgrade: tanstack.com/ai/latest/docs/migration/v1

    • removed

      Remove model ids that providers have retired. Each one now fails on the provider's API, so the types no longer accept it.

      Types and helpers that only served those models are removed:

  3. 0.7.x · maintenance

    Only updates a dependency:@tanstack/ai 0.71.0

  5. 0.7.1

    19 Oct 2026
    • Keep the provider's raw tool argument string for replay.

  6. 0.7.0

    13 Oct 2026
    • Prompt caching is now on by default. Each chat() call asks the provider to cache the stable start of the request (system prompt, tools, and earlier messages), so repeated requests cost less and answer sooner.

    • Set reasoning with chat({ reasoning }).

      Breaking: none. The adapter had no reasoning option before.

      chat({
        adapter: mistralText('mistral-small-latest'),
        messages,
        reasoning: 'high',
      })
    • Keep a schema property or a tool argument named __proto__. Before this fix, code that copied it with out[key] = value went to the __proto__ setter instead, so the key was lost.

  7. 0.6.x · maintenance
  8. 0.6.18
